Doing Doughnuts

Turns are legal, even with red lights
Hundreds of drivers who ran red lights while making turns at intersections newly monitored by cameras have not been issued tickets because of a loophole in the photo-enforcement ordinance.

"The way the current city ordinance is written, turns are excluded, even if they are illegal turns," said Houston police Sgt. Michael Muench.
So, I'm going to be going through red lights like a bandit, doing 360 degree turns, so that I remain on course.

I suggest everyone adopt this tactic. It works well in both Mexico City and Naples, Italy. Just hit the intersection at speed. If the light happens to turn red, turn the wheel sharply as you engage the emergency brakes. At about 270 degrees, release the brakes and begin to start straightening the wheel. Come out of it, and you're on your way, ticket free!

I think this will make Houston driving much safer, just like the mayor envisions. Remember! If you run a red light, make sure you make an illegal turn, as well, for the safest driving available.

Damn! I can't participate...we have no red lights, nor green lights nor amber lights up here on the mountain. I have thought about putting a red light out the front of my cabin, though!
