Bush's Surge Plan is Already Working

The link's first phrase says it all:
Sunni insurgents have been streaming out of Baghdad to escape the security crackdown...
'nuff said.

I can't wait till next election, when the Gimmecrats learn that they did NOT get a mandate... the republicans were spanked, and the Gimmecrats were the only ones left afterwards.

Do you really think that the "Gimmecrats" will ever learn anything?

They are always too busy patting themselves on their backs to notice what's going on around them.

They don't learn... but they can be disempowered. I mean that they are going to get a rude awakening when they find that conservative republicans (not RINOs) are not just taking the majority, but are also crushing their party into the oblivion it so richly deserves.

Some rambling thoughts, more or less on topic.

Reading on down that link, terrorists are attacking tanks in daylight now. We flushed the game out of Baghdad and rather than take them on the wing we let them go back to ground. These terrorists should be most vulnerable during transit but they disperse and reassemble at will. If they can move this freely I don't see what is accomplished. Bush can announce another big push and the terrorists will just move again.

Since the terrorists are driving around like tourists, somebody is paying for their gas, food, and stuff. There is a supply network in place to support all these guys to produce nothing but mayhem. The Viet Cong are quite proud of how they once operated under our noses and have museums showing how they did it. I wonder if anybody is studying them for a clue. Unless something serious is done about supplies flowing into Iraq, the rest is just stepping on the ants. A cruise missile into Tehran to take out Bank of Terror, INC., is a start. The enemy includes the teller stamping their checks down to the guy who packs their lunch. They all have to be motivated to stop.

The Kurds have effectively established Kurdistan. This is going to piss off the Turks in time.

Syria is being short sighted. The fundamentalists, if they win in Iraq, will demand a theocracy there. Probably while marching through on their way to Israel. This is where Israel will nuke them while on the march. So I think Syria is being short sighted.
